Leho He’e, print L46, by Dietrich Varez. “Leho he’e” refers to a special type of cowrie shell (leho) lure made for catching octopus (he’e). A barbed hook was fastened to the weighted shell. When the octopus seized the lure a sharp tug would be given to set the hook.
