Glenn Yamanoha attended Kyoto University of the Arts (woodblock printing, Monbusho grant), Osaka University of Foreign Studies (Japanese), and graduated from University of Washington (BFA Painting, Honors,). He exhibited professionally since 1985 in Hawai’i, the Mainland and Japan. In 1988, he was awarded a Monbusho International grant from the Japanese government to study Japanese woodblock printing and in 1990 had his rst one man show at Gallerie’ Cuore in Osaka. Since his return to Hawai’i, he has shown regularly in numerous group and solo exhibitions. In 1995, he received a Fellowship award from the Hawai’i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts. His paintings are in the collections of Hawai’i State Art Museum, The State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, City and County of Honolulu, The Contemporary Museum, First Hawaiian Bank, Bank of Hawai’i, Neiman Marcus and Kaiser Permanente among others.
