Tai Lake is a master woodworker known far and wide for his artfully designed furniture and sculptures; Mary Jo Lake holds the fort together and is wild about fused glass; and son Jonah Lake is the full-time assistant in the woodshop while banging out endless whimsical sculptures and wry commentary.
Together with Tai and Mary Jo’s two other artistic offspring, Kristin “the lighting queen”, and awesome carver Noah, they all host the annual Hawaii Artist Collaboration events in Holualoa, Kona. This is usually around 40 artists working together for 4-5 days with an auction immediately following, which will be on Nov. 3 of this year at the Holualoa Inn.
