Dancing on the Earth with Shizuno Nasu

Join renowned and classically trained dance artist, Shizuno Nasu, for her latest workshop rooted in deep listening and improvisationThe workshop, “Dancing on the Earth,” will take place on Friday, June 19, from 10AM – 4PM at Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village. Class fee is $50 for VAC members and $55 for non-members.

Jazz in the Forest Series May 16

The Spring Jazz Series continues on Saturday, May 16 and will feature the legendary trombonist Slyde Hyde, and special guest vocalist Yolee Hyde.  They will join the VAC Jazz Ensemble with musical director Jr Volcano Choy on trumpet, keyboard & vocals, Reggie Griffin on guitar, Brian McCree on bass and Bruce David on drums.

An exhibit of new work by acclaimed wildlife artist John Dawson opens at the Gallery on Saturday, January 10 with a reception from 5-7pm..
