Field Notes: ‘I’iwi, is a giclée reproduction of an original artwork by Elizabeth Miller.
This work features the Hawaiian ‘i’iwi bird snacking on their main source of food, the nectar of the lehua blossom from the ‘ōhi’a tree. The ‘i’iwi bird and ‘ōhi’a tree are commonly found within Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. This work also has a 3d element resembling “book notes” with two pages lifted off of the canvas.
