Tribute to Kamehameha by Jeff Roth
I hand carved this Koa wood tribute to Kamehameha.
I tried to incorporate some of his qualities:
Bombastic
Rustic
Charming
Graceful
“In this piece of koa wood I hand carved a chant I learned from my students while subbing at Ke Ana Laʻahana public charter school. The chant is named ‘Ku I Kamana’, I used the first 2 lines:
ʻKu I Kamana Ku
