Na Mea Hawaii, Quilt by Linda K. Sackett
“As the name of the quilt suggests (All Things Hawaiian), it depicts the ipu to carry water, poi pounders, taro leaves and the taro root for poi, for sustenance, and the uli uli, pahu (drum) and maile lei for hula.
I quilted this piece using four colors of thread to enhance the colors of the quilt top fabric.
The pattern is by Konia Oberosler.” – Linda K. Sackett
