Workshop-StainedGlass
Copper Foil Stained Glass II will be held at Volcano Art Center on December 10, 12 & 13. Want to take your Stained Glass skills to the next level? Then practice, practice, practice! With some background in Stained Glass you will find that you will learn by doing, watching and listening. (But mostly by doing.) Glass artists Claudia McCall and Lois Pollock will share their expertise and knowledge, teaching students the skills involved in creating a beautiful, sturdy piece of art.

This three-session stained glass workshop will shed more light on the process of stained glass. Thursday evening (12/10) from 6pm – 9pm, Saturday (12/12) from 1pm-5pm and Sunday (12/13) 1pm-5pm. Class fee is $150/$135 for VAC members. Attendees are asked to wear long pants, covered shoes and safety glasses. Advance registration is required and this workshop will be limited to 6 adults.

Designed for students with a minimum of one completed copper foil project, the emphasis will be on pattern design and other practical aspects of creating your stained glass. Students will need to bring one or more patterns (no larger than 8.5×11 and no more than 20 pieces), photos or rough sketches for class project.

Claudia McCall started working with stained glass in 2006 after a friend gave her a pretty little glass panel. She loved the way sunlight played through the different types of glass, and wanted to explore the possibilities. She has been exploring ever since. She creates stained glass in the copper foil technique when not occupied with her family farm in Volcano, Hawaii.
